I have been in wine sales and hospitality for just over 25 years. After studying a Marketing Degree at QLD University of Technology (QUT) I knew I wanted to work with wine. This started with stints in some of Brisbanes best restaurants including Brett’s Wharf & Char Cha Char. I then did two years as the Beverage Manager on Hayman Island from 2000-2002, before I travelled overseas working in restaurants and bars from Vancouver to Toronto to London. On my return home I helped open The Harbour Wine Bar in Noosa as a part owner. I also spent time working as a Sommelier at The Wine Bar Restaurant Maroochydore. For the last 15 years I have been selling wine on the road for Brown Brothers, Beelgara Estate and Bouchon Wines & Spirits in South East Queensland. My hobbies include Golf, Clay Target Shooting, Cheering on the Manly Sea Eagles and Wallabies. I love Burgundy and Cote du Rhone wines and so far my standouts in the Pure Wine Portfolio so far are the 2019 Yarra Yering Chardonnay, SC Pannell Basso Garnacha and Chateau Le Nerthe Les Cassagnes Cote du Rhone Rouge (very keen to try the Chateauneuf du Pape).
