This blend is a combination of 12% Viognier and 10% Marsanne grapes with 78% Semillon grapes. The wine is pale straw colour with light green highlights. The attractive bouquet has a compelling aroma of savoury oak combined with lemon zest, stone fruits and honeysuckle which integrate with the dry and textured palate. The flavours of Semillon come forward in notes of sweet Meyer lemon fruit flavours with texture built by barrel fermentation, leaving the finish fresh, crisp and long.
Some nectarine, pear and fig aromas, a touch of complexing reduction. Front palate is full and richly fruited, with white and yellow stone fruits to the fore. Oak is seamlessly integrated and adds spice and slight phenolic grip. Beautiful drinking now, with the potential to grow over the next 5-7 years.
Deep red colour, some purple hues. Lovely ripe black and red fruits, some spice and currants on the nose. The palate is typically full bodied, with plum and ripe black fruit flavours balanced by fine soft tannins and bright acidity. Oak is integrated and adds a structural element.Long balanced and vital, our 2019 Pinot Noir is drinking beautifully now and into the next 5 years.
